I love kids, and when I see them request things, I wonder what’s happening in their minds. No child on this earth is conscious of the state of wealth of their parents. When they request something, they know their parents have the resources to provide for them. But have you ever wondered if you can translate that ideology into your relationship with God? Did you know that no matter your age, you are still a child of God? And since that is so, God will graciously give you all things if you ask Him.

Don’t limit God in your thoughts.

Romans 8:32 (NIV) says,

“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

If God went to the extent of giving up Jesus to atone for the sins of all humanity, resulting in paving the way for the dimension of grace responsible for administering salvation to appear to all men (see Titus 2:11), how much more the things you ask Him? Even if it is material possessions, you ask Him, is it bigger the sacrifice than the blood of Christ? Of course not. Right? Don’t limit God in your thoughts. No! Don’t do that!

There’s nowhere in the Bible that says God will give you what you ask for at a specific time. So, you cannot coerce God to give you what you ask Him in your time. He will grant your request according to His time.

Ask God what you want in faith.

Every day, there is a beautiful opportunity to ask God what you want in faith without a single ounce of doubt. You see, all the provisions in God’s grace are accessed by faith. If you don’t have faith for what you are asking God for, you’ll not get it. Have you not read in the scriptures where Jesus commended people for receiving their healing through their faith (see Matthew 9:2, 9:22, 9:29, 15:28)? Faith is what you use to trade for your requests in the realm of God. So, ask God.

Learn to trust God

Remember that there’s nowhere in the Bible that says God will give you what you ask for at a specific time. So, you cannot coerce God to give you what you ask Him in your time. He will grant your request according to His time. But why? Because He knows you. In fact, he knows when to withhold certain things from you in order to protect His bond with you from crushing because of your pursuit of earthly desires. So, learn to trust Him to provide every step of the way. He will never fail you.
