Making Provisions Ready Before Creating Man

Excerpt

Never shun God’s instruction to do big things. Only ask for resources. There is no vision God hasn’t made provision for. In the case of Adam, he came to meet it. In our case, we need to ask Him for it.

How does it feel to go to work and be expected to be productive, yet without the gadgets and tools needed for the job? It will definitely be a frustrating experience. Right? Many companies that have frustrated workers may struggle to supply the necessary items to their employees. And for those who have good management, they ensure that employees don’t lack these resources, because in the long run, it’ll backfire as a loss in revenue for them. But I am happy to tell you that this principle didn’t start from modern industrialisation. No! God has exuded this wisdom from the beginning. And it’s sad when some ministries and churches fail to recognise this revelation in order to pay premium attention to their needs. In today’s edition of Journey Through the Book of Genesis (JTTBG) article series, I’m going to highlight this matter from Genesis 2:7-8. Let’s take a look at that scripture.

[7] “Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. [8] Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.” — Genesis 2:7-8 (NIV)

God thinks ahead

Before God created man, He made all the things necessary for his survival and thriving available. Is it food? There were plenty of trees in the Garden of Eden that Adam and Eve were free to choose from. Is it water? It was there. Place to sleep? In the same garden. Even work for the man was also provided. So, God thought and made all the provisions available before man’s arrival to exercise dominion over it. With this in view, here’s what I have to say to you. Never shun God’s instruction to do big things. Only ask for resources. There is no vision God hasn’t made provision for. In the case of Adam, he came to meet it. In our case, we need to ask Him for it.

Don’t let your glamorous dreams in your mind lead you to do things in wrong places without asking God for direction and checking the facts.

Know your garden and flourish in it.

God didn’t place man just anywhere on the face of the Earth. He put him in the Garden of Eden. That implies that location is necessary to consider when stepping out to fulfil your divine mandate. You cannot afford to settle wherever you like and expect God’s blessings to follow you. No matter how great God’s provision is in your life, it becomes useful and valuable when used well and at the correct location. Don’t let your glamorous dreams in your mind lead you to do things in wrong places without asking God for direction and checking the facts.

You’re a blessing.
