Ways to follow
It’s through renewing your mind with God’s Word that you can be empowered to live above the dictates of the sinful flesh. Therefore, those who follow Jesus will have the light of eternal life (see John 8:12), enabling them to view things from a spiritually discerning perspective rather than submitting to pleasing fleshly desires.
Do you know that God’s Word is received as a seed? Seeds don’t grow until they are planted in good soil and also provided all the necessities needed for them to germinate well. With this in view, know that it takes some work to see God’s Word manifest in a believer’s life.
If a relationship is built on shared faith, humility before God, and a desire to follow Christ faithfully, it will stand on a foundation that is far stronger than any temporary attraction.
God wants us to stir up one another to love and good works. So, there is a stirring to make among ourselves as believers. That work is not dependent on only you but also on others. You have a part to play, and I also have.
As a Christian, secular music is not the type of music you are supposed to listen to, regardless of excuses. They will dampen your spirit when you do that. So, don’t do it. But even as you listen to godly music, be selective.
It takes a lot of work to keep your spiritual fervour (fire) as a minister so you can serve the Lord. Once you neglect this work and prioritise ministry over it, then the stress and burnout begin to happen. To invest in taking care of your spiritual health, I recommend a few things from scripture to you, which, when you implement them, will help you immensely. Take a read.
Do you know that no matter how tall a tree grows, its roots remain intact in the ground? In the same way, when you are firmly rooted in the Lord, it will help you stay faithful to Him no matter how high your feat in life gets, either now or in the future.
There’s nothing like gender differences in Christ. So, before God, a husband and wife are all the same. Considering marriage as an institution, there are authority figures. And we’d would like you to know them vividly because it’d help you.
In remedy to walking according to the flesh, following the directions of the Holy Spirit should be the hallmark of every child of God. God is good. He doesn’t want you to always live to battle with mental struggles. He wants you to be effective in your walk of faith.
Your eye is the window to your soul and brain. That implies that what you see and watch affects how you think, whether you like it or not. There are some things that are not good for your eyes to watch. So it is better not to watch it rather than watch for your mental sanity to be affected.
Because the world is under constant development, there will be new inventions that will try to take away the people of God’s allegiance. And because of that, there shall be a scarcity of hearing sound doctrine teaching, not because they won’t be available, but because many won’t listen to such people.
The devil, knowing how essential marriage is in God’s plan, is working day and night to destroy many homes. And sadly, many people aren’t doing much about it. Today, I want to take one incident that happened in the Bible, specifically Hosea 3, which I hope will help every married person enduring the pain of loving an adulterous wife.
