In 1 Peter 1:10-12, Apostle Peter nailed the doctrine about how God’s great salvation purposed for us was planned to get manifested in the dispensation of grace.
As a child of God, let it be in your consciousness that the fact that you’re born again means you’re odd. And that oddness isn’t because of anything wrong you’ve done; it’s just because God has chosen you. For that sake, you will be persecuted. But when it happens, instead of bowing down in shame, praise God for bearing Christ’s sufferings in your body.
As far as I know, God’s principles work no matter the changing seasons in this life. He inspired David to say what you must do if you want to love life and see good days in Psalm 34:14-17.
From 1 Peter 2:13 – 3:7, the Apostle Peter expounded on the various types of submissions we believers must give to one another. And in today’s study scripture article release, I want to focus on 1 Peter 2:13-17, where Peter explains why a believer ought to submit himself to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake.
Some believers are always praying to God for “things” but failing to give themselves wholly to His calling upon their lives. That has resulted in many Christians living selfish lives, comprising “Give me, give me, God,” instead of giving diligence to their calling in Christ. Today, by the mercies of God, it’s a privilege to write concerning this issue in 2 Peter 1:5-7. Let’s delve deeper.
In 1 Peter 1:22-25 NKJV, the Apostle Peter teaches about how we can love one another fervently with a pure heart in Christ. As children of God, this is possible, but requires spiritual maturity.
Dear believing wife, you’re also a seed of Abraham (see Galatians 3:29) because you’re in Christ. So call your husband “lord.” He should be your second in command in life; the first is God. Submit to him. Relate to him in a quiet and gentle spirit, not a rebellious character; else, you’ll ruin his peace of mind. And above all, follow God’s principle in relating to all people in all calmness and gentility.
You cannot save someone from a thing you are a slave to. In God’s house, that works so much. If a pastor is battling with lust in secret, no matter how well he teaches against it in public, the people won’t change. You are a living witness of Jesus. So prioritize living clean before Him.
In the last study scripture article release, I spoke extensively about the deceptions of false teachers in the Body of Christ, starting from 2 Peter 2:18-19. Today, I am continuing the same series from a second part of that same Bible verse region. Let’s dive in.
If you’re a strong Christian like me, you may have gone through suffering for right and wrong several times. By saying that, I’m referring to people persecuting you because of your faith. There is hope for you. Read this article.
Starting chapter 3 of the 1st Epistle of Peter, the Apostle did an awesome work of writing about specific instructions to wives first and then to husbands. However, from verses 8 through 9, he continues to give seven general godly instructions to the brethren in Christ. Today, I’m glad to write about them in this article. I believe it’ll be helpful to you in your faith journey with Jesus.
As you focus on growing spiritually in the Lord, you’ll draw near Jesus. And by that, your inner man will be built up to become all that God created you to be and do.
God has begotten you to a living hope because there’s an inheritance He has stored up for you, even as you endure your afflictions in the Lord Jesus for His kingdom’s sake. That inheritance is in two folds – the earthly one and the heavenly one.
1 Peter 2:1-3 speaks about spiritual growth. And it’s not only for newborn babes in Christ, but also for mature believers. Delve in deeper!
Despite the hurts, disappointments and evil things happening in our world, the Apostle Peter urges us never to turn away our focus on the grace God intends to bring to us when Jesus is revealed. Learn more it in today’s Study-Scripture article.
In the last study scripture article, I spoke about how God is about to punish false prophets and preachers who are moving around and using His name to do deviant
I want to tell you that there is a process between the time you pray when God reveals His promise to you in bits and when you see those promises materialise. You can’t get everything God promises you the moment He reveals to you. It takes time to fulfil a promise you make to someone, even as a human. How much more God?
Have you heard of the Bereans in Acts 17:10-15? Paul preached the Word powerfully to them. But they went to check the scriptures to confirm whether or not what Paul said was true. That is wisdom. It is not enough to hear the Word of God being preached. You must know God for yourself. When you know God, you will understand His ways and, therefore, not follow the destructive ways of the false prophets.
