Ways to follow
If you take to heart what people say about you, I’m sorry, but you’ll hear too many disgusting words, even from people you’ve helped, that you may never dream of. Ingratitude is part of men’s behaviour these last days (see 2 Timothy 3:2). So don’t expect people always to say good things about you because you might be setting yourself up for disappointment.
While 2 Peter 1:5-7 teaches us to cultivate seven significant things that will make us productive in our knowledge of Christ, 2 Peter 1:8-9 tells us about knowing Jesus – the benefits of abounding in such divine knowledge and the effect of neglecting it.
In Galatians 6:9, Paul implored the believers in the Galatian church, saying they should not grow weary of doing good. But why? For in due season, they shall reap a harvest if they don’t lose heart. This, in fact, is one of the most encouraging verses in the Bible, especially to those heartbroken by others who have repaid evil for the good they did for them.
Some believers are always praying to God for “things” but failing to give themselves wholly to His calling upon their lives. That has resulted in many Christians living selfish lives, comprising “Give me, give me, God,” instead of giving diligence to their calling in Christ. Today, by the mercies of God, it’s a privilege to write concerning this issue in 2 Peter 1:5-7. Let’s delve deeper.
The devil has no good plans for you. He has a way of making you think there’s nothing wrong with the sin and likes bombarding you with so many temptations so you can fall for it. But hey, resist him. Speak God’s Word by divine authority and sack those evil thoughts away from your mind. It’s a war to do that, so never give up. And even if you fall, run to the Lord in repentance and speak to a trusted friend in the Lord to help you out. But after your healing, don’t go back to it. Lay aside every weight and always ask for grace to cover every area of your life.
I want to tell you that there is a process between the time you pray when God reveals His promise to you in bits and when you see those promises materialise. You can’t get everything God promises you the moment He reveals to you. It takes time to fulfil a promise you make to someone, even as a human. How much more God?

God, in His mighty power, has bestowed upon each of His children everything they need for life and godliness. This is an incredible truth, isn’t it? Yet, why do many believers find life challenging? It’s because there’s a process to access the provisions God has made. Delve deeper in this study.
Tongues speaking helps you connect deeper to God, and it’s a very powerful way of silencing every distraction around you as you pray. God, having seen that your connection with Him in prayer is well established, will speak.

God loves you, and it is not everything He will tell you to do that is meant for the whole world to see. People-pleasing is not your goal. So don’t settle for it.
