Ways to follow
God made Adam a living soul because He knew it would be subject to corruption due to sin. If He had made him a life-giving Spirit (which He has for everyone who accepts Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour – see 1 Corinthians 15:45), Adam and Eve’s fall would have been eternally incorrigible. And that would have been very, very dangerous. Imagine not being able to correct a mistake you made for life. How bad will it be?
Since believers in Christ are looking forward to the second coming of Christ (see 2 Peter 3:12-13), there are things we can do to prepare ourselves towards that. That is, being steadfast in the Lord so we can diligently live according to His dictates in peace, without spot and blameless. From this, it’s pretty clear there’s no space for funfaring when it comes to living by the principles of God. You need to be vigilant and give no space for the devil.
Since all the things in the Earth and Earth itself will be dissolved on the second coming of Jesus Christ, there is a clarion call on each believer to be in holy conduct and godliness.
Your human calculations of how God works will never be able to predict all of God’s doings in your life accurately. Some of the things you pray for may take longer than you imagined. Other times, God may fulfill a promise He made to you quite faster than you can imagine. Don’t limit God by your human calculations.
Do not forget that God’s Word remains true despite the changing things in the world. If you ever lose consciousness of this, at least remind yourself how old the Bible is, yet it has never faded or lost impact.
The reason why God created man was for him to have dominion over all the earth. Take it, and you’ll benefit from it; play with it, and others will succeed and even rule over your life as they create products and services you cannot live without.
Just because many things are continuing the way they were after Jesus physically left the Earth doesn’t mean God’s Word of prophecy has been annulled. Take care of your spiritual health and be mindful of what you hear.
As a Christian, secular music is not the type of music you are supposed to listen to, regardless of excuses. They will dampen your spirit when you do that. So, don’t do it. But even as you listen to godly music, be selective.
God first created the Earth in Genesis 1:1, which nobody had details of how it was until it became void and formless. So, the actual creation story from Genesis 1:6-25 talks about how God fixed the formlessness and voidness situation of the first Earth that was destroyed. You cannot save someone from a thing you are a slave to. In God’s house, that works so much. If a pastor is battling with lust in secret, no matter how well he teaches against it in public, the people won’t change. You are a living witness of Jesus. So prioritize living clean before Him.
