Ways to follow
Once you are living inside a body subject to fleshly lusts, you have “sin.” In other words, you may not have sin inside you as a Christian (because your inner man is saved and renewed by the Spirit), but sin is close to you because of the presence of your sinful flesh, which can be triggered to make you do wrong things when you’re tempted. Get this well, so that you’ll not deceive yourself into thinking that you are stormproof to temptation.
If God doesn’t want you to live a selfish life, what does He want you to embrace instead? Sacrifice powered by love. That is what will help you to impact many for His kingdom. If you spend your life for the needy with intentionality, you’ll keep your life for eternal life.
If you have been in church for quite a while, you may have come across the statement, “Obedience is better than sacrifice”. Well, what does it mean to you as a Christian? Delve deeper today.
If God, who’s love, dwells in you standing firm in the faith, then you have the grace to express that love to those backsliding by encouraging them to come to Jesus.
